Corrosion Resistance

Under most environmental conditions, including air, water (or saltwater), petrochemicals, and many chemical systems, aluminum exhibits excellent corrosion resistance.
Electrical Conductivity
Aluminum profiles are often chosen for their excellent electrical conductivity. On an equal weight basis, the electrical conductivity of aluminum is nearly 1/2 that of copper.
Thermal Conductivity
The thermal conductivity of aluminum alloys is approximately 50-60% that of copper, which is advantageous for manufacturing heat exchangers, evaporators, heating appliances, cookware, and engine blocks and radiators for automobiles.
Non-magnetic
Aluminum profiles are non-magnetic, an important characteristic for the electrical and electronics industries. Aluminum profiles are non-combustible, which is important for applications involving handling or contact with flammable or explosive materials.
Machinability
Aluminum profiles have excellent machinability. The machining characteristics vary considerably among the various wrought and cast aluminum alloys and in the various conditions in which these alloys are produced, requiring specialized machine tools or techniques.
Formability
Specific tensile strength, yield strength, ductility, and corresponding work hardening rate govern the variation in allowable deformation.
Recyclability
Aluminum is highly recyclable, and the properties of recycled aluminum are virtually indistinguishable from primary aluminum.
